rain rain go away

blah.. i think i'm getting sick

its been a pretty mellow week.  not much has gone on.  i had a blast this past weekend though!  hooray for fft's birthday @ espn zone at LA Live!  Things are better when you're VIP

Can't believe its already the 17th of December, it's gone by pretty quickly!  I've been super tied up and i don't even know what i've been doing!  I havent had time for anything.  I only just set up my christmas tree last night, can you believe that?!  Can't wait til next tuesday, christmas breeeeeeeeeeeak, woo-hoo!  Our break lasts from the 23rd to the 2nd.  Makes me kinda sad that i'm excited about that.  In college we used to get like 6 weeks off, and here i'm excited about 2 weeks?!

Hopefully I start feeling better, I have Knotts Merry Farm this Saturday!  Hooray for free tickets!

okay, time to close the door, and sleep.

sparty!

since i'm in a picture sharing mood right now, i'd like to share my favorite picture of spartacus as of date:

Sparty on his back

"mommy! i love rolling around in the grass after a bath!"

#332

it's been such a hectic week!

We finally moved into our new offices.  Yes, i had a FOUR day weekend and I luuuurved it!  I'm really giddy and excited that I get my own office.  Imagine me, with walls and a door, it's waaay cool .  New building, new offices, new furniture, new everything!  We're literally the first occupants in this fantabulous building.

I was kinda bored today, so I started taking pictures of the office (behind closed doors of course, i don't want to look that weird!)

Office 001

Office 002
yes, individually signed.  this is only 1/3 of my puck stacks.. imagine that

Office 006
my first set of keys ever!

Office 007
it's still a bit bare, i need to figure out what pictures i want to hang up!

Office 013
and of course I had to bring my Dwight bobblehead along, and figure out how to display him in the most appropriate manner. haha

so my office is slightly smaller than a couple of people's office (that's a non-exec.. of course).  everybody has this window wall next to their door, that enables people from the hallway to look inside into the office.  my office doesn't have one... which is AWESOME, if i have my door closed, NOBODY can see what i'm doing.  what's even better is that there's this support pillar right next to my door, so it creates this alcove on the left side of my office... perfect for sneaking in a nap without anybody knowing, even if they walked into my office.. hehe

Office 009
i can totally hide out in that little space, it's awesome!

and also, the thing that EVERYBODY totally loves around here, is that there's a starbucks on the main floor, a real legitimate starbucks, i've had one almost everyday since we moved in... but i decided to mix it up and get robeks instead... mmmm green tea sensation

Lighting of the Christmas Tree Shaped Light Bulb

the view of LA Live from my old building)

last thursday night was the first ever official "lighting of the tree" in the brand new LA Live.  It was pretty cool, the mayor came out and they were playing christmas carols throughout the evening.

Natalie Cole came out to sing The Christmas Song

Adam Carolla was there to sort of "host the night" ... i believe he was either drunk or high the entire night.. quite a spectacle haha.  Pete Caroll stopped by, sort of for media hype for the usc/ucla football game.

and best of all, britney spears was there! haha, my little teeny bopper heart secretly jumped for joy.  she actually was speaking normal and didn't sound high or drugged up... amazing

even though I only saw her for 5 minutes, it's okay, we'll meet again

hoooooray!!

so yesterday, we had a remembrance day for my grandma.  it was fun to get back together with family again.  we actually ended up watching Four Christmases that night.  i secretly liked it haha.  it wasnt the funniest thing i've ever watched.  but it was decent.

it's reeeally fun talking about wedding details haha.  favoritest and coolest cousin and i scheduled to go look at BM dresses in a couple of weeks.  until then i'll be watching 27 Dresses to brace myself for the moment.

hooooray!

why do they got to be so racist?

   LA Live 003
why do they got to put the asian girl next to the panda?? hehe her legs are kinda funny too

so our holiday party was kinda cool.  If you look in the pic, on the building to the left, you'll see a balcony ("Target Terrace", if you havent noticed the signage all around it).  We're very big on branding in here in the sponsorship world haha.  That's where our reception was held, it was pretty cool i suppose... hors'deurves and dessert.  and hooray for open bar!  The Grammy Museum was really cool.  Very interactive, almost everything was a touchscreen.  I highly recommend going to it, it's quite an experience.

Sara Bareilles sounded really good, although i'm sure the brand new state of the art sound system helped enhance her performance.  She literally sang three songs, and then bolted out.  Granted it was only supposed to be a 30 minute set, but still, there was no encore or even a "coming back out" to thank the audience for coming.  such a diva.

Apparently this is the biggest week ever in my little company's history.  Last week, Lucky Strike opened, Monday ESPN Zone opened, yesterday we were literally the first group of people to set food into the Grammy Museum, with its Grand Opening this Saturday.  Tomorrow night, we'll be the official lighting of our "christmas tree."  It's been complete mayhem and a media circus around here.  I dont know if I like the nickname "Time Square West" for LA Live.  So much for being unique and different.  Although I suppose there isn't much of a difference.

oh well, back to work
